EB CROSSLINKED FILMS ARE RECYCLABLE
EB CROSSLINKING ENABLES THE MOVE
TO MONOMATERIAL PE-BASED BARRIER FILMS*
EB Film crosslinking is well established, a large and growing application. Polyethylene and polyethylene copolymers are well known to undergo crosslinking upon EB irradiation.
From fresh meat, poultry and seafood to bulk overwrap and flexible pouch packaging, EB Film Crosslinking allows innovative packaging materials to deliver freshness, safety and convenience to the consumer in a recyclable manner.
*Recyclability data pending.
EB XLINK gives higher heat resistance and allows higher filling speeds with less waste.

Plastic PE-based film runs through Electron Beam (EB). Ionizing radiation in the form of high-speed electrons break polymer bonds. Short-chain polymer chains recombine yielding higher molecular weight plastic with increased physical properties.
